Iconic set of six matching 19th century early Thonet No. 14 konsumstuhl bistro or coffee shop chairs crafted from bentwood. Known as the "chair of chairs" with over 50 million produced. These early models feature a stamped veneer seat with a naturalistic palm or peacock feather design in the decorative arts taste. Designed by Michael Thonet in 1859 from six pieces of bentwood in the Moravia region of the Czech Republic. Each chair retains its original "Thonet" paper stamp. The gracefully curved back conjoins to a round seat supported by legs having a round stretcher. Sold as a set of six.

Condition: Good, wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with solid joinery given age, use, and design. Age appropriate wear with age cracks, stains, fading, scuffs, and shrinkage as seen in photos.
