Set of Six French Louis XVI Style Cane Dining Chairs

Distinctive set of six mahogany dining chairs crafted from mahogany. The chairs feature a large square back with woven honeycomb cane inset. Crafted in the grand neoclassical Louis XVI taste. The generous seats have a comfortable tufted, pillow top with a double welt border. The molded aprons are decorated with carved rosettes on the front corners. The seat is supported by elegant tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet. The vintage fabric shows well and is very presentable with a powder blue arrow motif over a cream ground. Solid and sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The chairs have a handsome profile with sculptural square backs. Sold as a set of six chairs.
