Set of Four Rose Tarlow "Feather" Dining Chairs in Fortuny
$9,000.00
An elegant set of four "Feather" dining side chairs designed by Rose Tarlow and finished in Fortuny fabric upholstery. The opulent chairs feature large oval cameo backs framing splats carved as sprays of feather plumage. The classic style is known as the "Prince of Wales Feather Chairs" after the late 18th century Georgian-Hepplewhite design prior to the Regency period in England. The ornately carved and twisted feathers are gently curled at the ends and are gathered by a beaded collar on a carved acanthus base. The frames are finished with an intentionally distressed and aged lacquered ebonized and giltwood finish. The chairs rest on gracefully splayed sabered legs with carved moldings and painted with a subtle leaf lining in a dark oxblood red tracing the legs and apron. The seats are upholstered in a luxurious Fortuny woven fabric in bronze and gold tones with a large urn and floral pattern traced by double-welted edges. The set is crafted in a refined blend of Regency, Georgian, and Hepplewhite styles, well-suited for a variety of spaces. Manufacturer's suggested retail price begins at $8,725 model (SKU: DC-364-S). Sold as a set of four. The chair frames are solid and sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship having an intentionally distressed patina to mimic age as seen in photos. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA. Sold as a set of four.
