Midcentury Giacometti Style Savonarola Brass Cocktail Table
$2,800.00
An elegant and rare mid-century modern Italian Savonarola coffee or cocktail table crafted in the manner and style of Diego Giaacometti and Paul Ferrante. The table features a floating glass top resting on a X-form base with a distinct Savonarola form made of iron and brass. The base is constructed with two pairs of interlocking looped supports joined on each side by brass collars and a central stretcher. The legs end in turned brass feet with round disk bases. Four turned brass finials anchor the glass top, protruding through it and ending in flat knobs. The brass and iron both have a beautifully patinated gilt finish with a richly weathered surface. The table is constructed in a blend of Italian Provincial Dante Savonarola style and mid-century Hollywood Regency styles, well-suited for a variety of spaces as a coffee table, cocktail table, or side table. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
