Marc Weinstein Attributed Brutalist Welded Nails Cocktail Table

$3,800.00

A striking Brutalist style glass and iron coffee table attributed to Marc Weinstein, USA, 1970s. The sculptural piece features a thicket of dozens of hand-formed iron nails cut and welded into an architectural base. The nails are soldered together with molten bronze metal having cooled into small golden droplets across the piece. The base supports a flat glass top with flattened nailheads topped by felt tips meeting the underside of the glass. At the base, the nails flare and pool into small bronzed feet. The rectangular glass top with gently rounded corners floats above the dense metalwork, allowing the base to remain the centerpiece of the work. Crafted with incredible handiwork and texture in the Brutalist style with an aged patina on the iron. The table is well-suited for a variety of spaces as a side table, coffee table, drinks table, or as a design object. The glass top measures 0.5 thick. The base measures 15" tall without glass.
