A substantial rustic country French Provincial style oak trestle dining table, crafted with a thick rectangular plank top measuring over 3 inches thick. The table is constructed out of warm honey-toned solid oak wood with visible cathedral grain and natural knots and variation throughout. The massive top is surprisingly flat and true given the size. The broad slab-like top has subtly chamfered corners and rests above a trestle base having two baluster shaped end support legs conjoined by a long central stretcher. The pedestal supports have a distinctive lyre-form silhouette with a substantial beam stretcher, squared block joinery, and large stepped bracket pedestal shoe feet constructed out of layered oak planks. The design has a classical Country French Provincial farmhouse profile making the table suitable for a variety of interiors. The large top measures 3.25" thick and sits over an ample leg clearance of 26.75". The table is heavy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship.
