Carrie Bradshaw's English Aesthetic Bamboo Rattan Chest Dresser
$4,800.00
A stylish English Aeshtetic Movement style seven-drawer semainier or chest of drawers screen-used in Carrie Bradshaw's Gramercy Park, New York apartment in "And Just Like That…". Crafted beautifully out of rattan, bamboo, cane, raffia, and wood, the piece features seven graduated drawers, each centered with a hand-applied geometrical diamond pattern in bamboo over a finely woven rattan ground and fit with a small turned knob. The frame is constructed out of bamboo poles finished in a rich tortoiseshell-like finish. The top and sides are inset with woven raffia panels framed by square and chevron moulded accents. The drawers are constructed out of plain wood. Crafted in a chic tropical coastal Aesthetic Movement style in the form of a semainier with each of the seven drawers holding a days clothes for the week, the piece is well-suited for use as a dresser, storage, or an accent piece in a bedroom, bathroom, or living room. The 20th century chest is accompanied by a studio asset tag and a certificate of authenticity from Warner Bros. Discovery confirming its use as a set piece on the HBO series "And Just Like That…", the later spin-off of "Sex and the City". Handsome profile with an interesting provenance.
