Fantastic Napoleon III style hand-carved giltwood rope and tassel wall mirror featuring a large bow on the crest. The thick nautical style ropes twist around the border ending in a tassel finial on bottom. Lovely aged gilt patina with red lacquer showing through. The antique glass is spotted and sows age with desirable wear. Provenance: From the Pebble Beach, CA estate of billionaire banking heir Richard Mellon.
