Aged late 19th century French giltwood floor mirror crafted in the grand Louis XV taste. The mirror has a large wood-painted frame embellished with carved floral, foliate, and scrolling acanthus decorations. The top features a high-relief cornice molding decorated with ornate floral sprays and centered by a Rococo style shell rocaille. The frame was constructed with spectacular architectural scale and detail. The commanding size and scale is visually striking and impressive.
