Pair of Koch & Lowy OMI Patinated Brass Pharmacy Floor Lamps

$3,800.00

A sleek pair of matching and signed mid-century modern patinated brass pharmacy floor lamps made by Koch and Lowy in Long Island City, New York. The pair of lamps feature a telescoping shaft with a brass collar, allowing the height to be adjusted from a low of 33.5" to a high of 46.5". Each lamp has a cylindrical, half-round shade that swivels independently for directed task lighting with dimmer located underneath. Each lamp has an "OMI" designation that stood for Otto Meinzer GmbH & Co. Metallwarenfabrik, a German metalworking company from Iserlohn, Germany. Koch & Lowy closely partnered with OMI, using their high-quality articulating joints, swivels, and metal hardware to build their iconic adjustable task, pharmacy, and swing-arm floor lamps. The columns are mounted on weighted rectangular brass plinth bases, giving the pair excellent stability. The lamps have developed a warm antiqued brass surface with a beautiful naturally developed aged patina, giving the pieces an authentic aged depth. The elegant and versatile mid-century modern pair works equally well in a study, library, living room, or bedroom. The pair is each signed "Koch + Lowy OMI". Sold as a pair.
