$9,800.00

Rare, weathered late 18th century country Swedish farmhouse dining table crafted from pine. Known as a Swedish bockboard work table it features a trestle base with exposed mortise and tenon joinery having distinctive x form legs ending with shaped feet. The trestle base has a long stretchers on each side of the work table ending with large round finials. The stretchers once supported a canvas lining under the table for drying herbs or leaves and now has only remnants of the canvas on the round poles. The sides of the table have ample leg room for dining measuring over 28.5 inches from the floor to the apron and dining height of 32.75 inches high. The pine has a distressed, aged, and faded patina on the finish as seen in photos. The natural pine has visible age cracks, chips, scratches, stains, prior insect damage and old repairs as expected given age and use. The aged patina adds to the country aesthetic of the rustic work table. Solid and strong with lovely craftsmanship.
