L. Rossi Expandable Round Chinoiserie Lacquered Dining Table 7 Ft
$9,000.00
An exceptional bespoke Chinoiserie decorated round dining table designed by L. Rossi, San Fransisco, CA. Known as the "evolution" table distinguished by its segmented "pie-slice" top in a refined lacquer finish with warm sepia chinoiserie floral decorations below the lacquered surface. The top is engineered to present as a clean, minimal round surface in its closed configuration and expands to an dramatic and immense starburst patterned top when additional segments are installed. The top surface and apron are finished in a dramatic dark lacquer with warm sepia-toned floral vignettes, giving a shadowed and subtle chinoiserie element in the Asian aesthetic. The lacquer finish is intentionally distressed to mimic age as seen in photos. The table is anchored by a bold architectural base with four splayed supports joined by a X-form stretcher offering strong stability and a massive visual presence. The table could function equally well as a dining table, a center table, an elevated games or conference table. L. Rossi signature stamp underneath. MSRP was purported to be $31,000. From an estate in Bel Air, CA.
When closed, the table measures 66" wide and deep and 30" high, and seats eight people. While opened, the table measures 87" wide, 84" deep, and 30" high, and can seat twelve people. The top measures 4" thick and has a clearance of 26" from the floor to the apron for ample leg room. Includes 6 expanding leaves.
