Gorgeous late 19th century country French provincial farmhouse work table or dining table crafted from fruitwood. The table features a framed plank top supported by a trestle base. The work table has a storage drawer on one end with an iron ring pull. The fruitwood has a desirable aged patina with a warm dark honey-toned finish. Constructed mostly with wood peg joinery. Supported by turned legs conjoined by an H shaped stretcher and ending with round ball feet. The table measures nearly 23 inches from the floor to the apron. This style of versatile table was the work horse of the kitchen serving many roles. The fruitwood table is full of character and charm and could also serve as a console or display table with a classic European farmhouse profile.
