Set of Four French Louis XVI Style Painted Dining Chairs

$2,000.00

Charming set of four 20th century French carved beech dining chairs made in the grand Louis XVI taste. The carved frames feature a painted finish with an intentionally distressed patina to mimic age. The off-white cream color background is accented by a charming but subtle teal green around the chair frame. The chairs have a classic balloon back and a generous seat decorated with carved rosettes on the corners. The frames have a vintage upholstery that shows well having a shimmery silver velvet and silk brocade stripes with floral motifs. The seats are supported by fluted, tapered legs ending with toupie feet. The chairs are sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Sold as a set of four.
