Rare set of four mid-century modern Italian walnut dining armchairs designed by Carlo De Carli (Italian 1910-1999) for Cassina. The set consists of all armchairs model #585 with a rich, dark walnut finish. The original velvet has been upgraded with new fabric with a textured linen style. The design for the chairs was presented at the XI Triennale of Milan in 1951. The chairs are sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship having old repairs as expected given age and use. From an estate in Bel Air, CA. Sold as a set of four.
