Set of Four Billy Baldwin for Bielecky Cane Dining Armchairs
$15,000.00
A sublime late 20th century set of four rattan cane dining armchairs designed by Billy Baldwin and hand-crafted by Bielecky Brothers, NY. The rare set consists of all dining armchairs model number (#C7651). Each chair features an architectural hardwood frame meticulously reed-wrapped for a refined ribbed texture. The sides and back feature organic woven cane panels, lending a visual lightness and depth to the profile of the chairs. The seats are supported by straight, slender legs which are slightly splayed on the rear. The chairs are fitted with loose, boxed faux leather naugahyde seat cushions in a rich textured dark chocolate brown tone. The cushions create a sharp contrast with the honey toned rattan. The frames are sturdy and strong having excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The rattan cane finish is well preserved in exceptional condition as seen in photos. Distinctive refined profile blending Organic Modern, California Coastal, and Palm Beach styles. The chairs are suitable for a variety of interiors. Chairs retain the original Bielecky Brothers, New York maker's plaques on the bottoms of each seat. Arms of the chairs measure 25" high. Sold as a set of four. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
