Rare authentic pair of leather Kubus armchairs or lounge chairs designed in 1910 by Austrian Vienna secession designer Josef Hoffmann (1870-1956 Austrian). Manufactured by Wittmann in Vienna, Austria late 20th century. Iconic design featuring geometrical quilted squares of cognac leather applied to a beechwood frame having a modern cube form. The leather is soft and pliable with fine craquelure as expected given age and use. Supported by square ebonized legs ending with silver half moon feet. Manufacturer plaque on bottom of each chair. Price is for two Kubus chairs, we have a total of five matching chairs in cognac leather upholstery.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Sturdy and strong with good joinery. Leather is soft and supple with fine craquelure on the finish as seen in photos and wear on the feet.
