Marjorie Skouras Samantha Empire Chandelier Turquoise + Quartz

A spectacular Marjorie Skouras Design "Samantha" Empire Chandelier featuring Catalina white turquoise and pink rose quartz. The piece is constructed in a classical French Empire-style basket silhouette out of luminous white polished turquoise bead strands accented by a delicate blush accent of pink rose quartz. The large chandelier tapers towards the top and swells downwards into a richly beaded lower globe. Constructed of soft polished hand-strung beads over a white wrought-iron armature frame, creating dramatic vertical swags that gather into a dense basket. Bands of blush-pink rose quartz beads decorate the upper crown and midline, adding a soft and opulent note. Suspended from a metal chain with a white canopy. The piece blends the classical French Empire style form with modern, bohemian, and contemporary influences, resulting in a glamorous, boutique piece. The Samantha Empire chandelier was inspired by Marjorie´s fondness for Yuan Dynasty Chinese Blue and White Porcelain. Chain drop measures approximately 5". From the estate of the 2015 San Francisco Decorator Showcase home in CA. The chandelier is in exceptional well preserved condition as seen in photos. Includes matching canopy and hardware.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully hand-crafted with  minor wear to painted frame components that appear to be intentional to mimic age as seen in photos. Beads appear intact and in good condition, with some natural variation as expected.
