Giacometti Inspired Sculptural Bronze Tree Dining Center Table

A whimsical and sculptural Giacometti inspired dining or center table crafted out of cast bronze and glass in the form of a tree housing a bird's nest with three birds. The distinctive table features an artisan cast bronze faux-bois construction with incredible detailing, including feathers, wood knots, and leaves. The artistic piece depicts a mother bird perched on a gnarled fork branch feeding two open-mouthed fledglings nestled in a woven nest. The nest is supported by a naturalistically rendered trunk with slender branches radiating outwards ending in cast bronze leaves. The table sits atop multiple splayed root-like feet. A thick round beveled glass top floats above the base, allowing the nest to be viewed from any perspective. The bronze has acquired a rich and darkly variegated patina over time with subtle verdigris recesses. The cast bronze base is heavy and solid topped by a 48" inch diameter thick beveled glass. The table is crafted in the naturalistic style of Diego Giacometti's tree-form furniture designs and French Neoclassical Faux Bois pieces. The table is well-suited for a variety of spaces as a dining table, breakfast table, center table, side table, or entry table. The table has ample leg room measuring 29" from the ground to glass.
