Iconic pair of mid-century modern lacquered three drawer commode chests designed by Dorothy Draper. The Espana chests are fronted by three large drawers decorated with gilt square shapes centered by gilt metal pulls in the glamorous Hollywood Regency taste. The chests appear to have an older restoration with an aged patina commensurate age and use. Very presentable in as-found condition from an estate in San Francisco, CA. Sold as a pair. The lacquer finish has fine craquelure that is difficult to see.
