19th Century Austrian Biedermeier Fruitwood Bibliotheque Bookcase

Grand important 19th century fruitwood bibliotheque library bookcase purported to be from 18th century Schloss Leopoldskron Palace in Salzburg, Austria. The large bookcase is constructed in two parts. The upper case features four astral glazed glass doors having interlacing elliptical bars in a graceful lattice pattern. The doors are flanked by ebonized pilaster columns in the Napoleonic taste surmounted in the center. The bottom case features storage doors on each side centered by three fall front doors opening to storage. The doors are decorated with globe and harp motif drawings with pilaster ebonized columns on each side. The cabinets are crafted from radiant fruitwood with a warm honey toned finish. The cabinet is heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The original keys and lockplates are included. The wood finish has a desirable aged patina commensurate age and use. The inside of the cabinet bears a label from the historic Schloss Leopoldskron Palace with an inventory number. From an estate in Beverly Hills, California. Color is warm honey-amber wood tone.
