Sublime pair Italian mid-century modern colored glass and brass veneered cabinets inspired by the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian (Dutch 1872-1944). Fantastic mosaic of abstract geometric patterns in bright, vivid color or highlighted by sleek brass trim. Each cabinet is fronted by 2 drawers above 2 locking doors that open to a shelved interior. Original functioning keys and lock plates on each piece. The cabinets are very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Exquisite well-preserved condition as seen in photos. The pair offer a strong focal point for a room or entry with an elegant profile and large scale. The Murano style glass panels offer an opaque bright finish with gilt glass having a gold metallic finish of gold leaf. The cases are supported by stiletto brass legs.
