A rustic 19th Century French Country farmhouse style painted pine hutch cabinet or cupboard with a beautifully weathered gray-taupe painted finish and chicken-wire inset door. The cabinet has a tall and narrow form with a molded cornice, plinth base, paneled sides, and a hinged door. The door is composed of an upper wire mesh display window above a lower wood panel. The interior is fitted with four open shelves, making the piece ideal for use as a kitchen pantry cupboard, bookcase, decorative display case, or as a linen storage cabinet in a hall or bathroom. The wire door and paneling give the cabinet an authentic and rustic French Country character, accented by elegant moldings and paneling with a simple iron escutcheon and key. The authentically distressed and weathered hand-painted surface has wonderful age and textured patina.
