Extraordinary Chinese export eight panel coromandel screen featuring the Han Palace courtyard with figures. Each wooden panel is lacquered and incised with colorful natural pigments and conjoined with patinated brass hinges. The intricate scene is decorated with numerous trees and pagodas. The panels are supported by shaped legs ending with patinated brass clad feet. The large screen is over 12 feet long. The reverse side features a stark landscape decorated with scholars, rocks, and birds. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
