Pair of Ralph Lauren "Indian Cove Lodge Fauteuil" Armchairs

An elegant pair of beautifully crafted "Indian Cove Lodge" lounge armchairs, made in Italy and designed by Ralph Lauren. Each fauteuil chair features a hand-carved beechwood frame with a bespoke lacquered finish. The frames showcase an open silhouette profile decorated with scrolling acanthus and rosette accents. The tall shield-form backs are topped by elegantly carved crest rails with shaped crown and scroll carvings, flowing down into broad open arms, creating a classical french Louis XV Fauteuil silhouette. The distinctive chairs are supported by ornately carved cabriole legs with leaf and shell accents ending in scrolled feet. The seats have a carved serpentine apron mirroring the crest rails. The frames are finished in a soft white lacquer with an intentionally distressed antiqued patina. The seats and backs are upholstered in a tactile deep navy velvet fabric, sharply contrasting the frames. The seats, backs, and padded arms are traced by neat rows of nickel-tone brass tack nailheads. Each benchmade chair is individually produced in Italy and finished with the highest level of hand-craftsmanship. The frames are sturdy and solid with strong joinery. The pair is crafted in an elegant Louis XV French Provincial style, well-suited for a bedroom, salon, library, or sitting room. Arms of the chairs measure 26" tall. Sold as a pair.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with strong joinery and solid construction. Very good condition with intentionally antiqued finish and age-appropriate wear, including light marks, scuffs, chips, and creasing to upholstery that is difficult to see.
