Opulent Italian wrought iron Savonarola armchair made in the Baroque or campaign style. The chair features an iron frame with curule style legs and imposing patinated bronze mace finials. The seat is upholstered with dramatic faux alligator/crocodile naugahyde in a patent leather style finish. The seat sling has a pillow cushion mounted to the top and the arms have faux alligator wraps with a gracefully curved design. Very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Maximalist style with a handsome profile that showcases the large bronze mace head finials. From an estate in Bel Air, CA.
