Set of Four Monumental Faux Marble Neoclassical Columns 10 Ft.

$9,800.00

An exceedingly rare and imposing set of four monumental Doric style Greco-Roman columns constructed in a richly detailed faux verde marble painted finish. Each column measures approximately ten feet, and features a tall, slightly tapered cylindrical shaft with deep vertical fluting, articulated by narrow ivory ribs. The columns are topped by square abacus capitals and rest on large square plinth bases, creating a silhouette reminiscent of a Doric column in a Neoclassical or Greek Revival style. The painted faux marblework consists of a deep olive-green ground similar to the Italian Verdi Alpi marble with lively veining and tonal movement contrasted by subtle glossy ivory or cream-colored bases and caps to create a convincing "stone" presentation. Each capital top includes a recessed square well. Ideal for a gallery, retail environment, or an interior installation seeking a bold and dramatic Neoclassical statement piece. The columns are very heavy and solid crafted with strong joinery and construction. The original finish has an aged patina with chips and scuffs as seen in photos. Sold as a set of four.
