Set of Seven Neoclassical Architettura Lacquer Eggshell Boxes

$12,000.00

Fascinating and rare set of seven boxes featuring a lacquered eggshell veneer attributed to French artist Thierry Voeltzel. Each box is designed with Greco-Roman neoclassical architecture depicting stone buildings with columns. Each box has a top that opens to storage space. The boxes are painstakingly embellished with a veneered eggshell with a smooth lacquered finish. The finish has an intentionally aged patina to mimic ancient Greco-Roman designs. The 3 square boxes measure from 7.5" up to 14" wide. The round boxes measures from 6-8 inches in diameter. The covered boxes make great storage pieces. Sold as a set of seven from an estate in Bel Air, CA.
