Handsome English 19th century mahogany drop-leaf dining table or Pembroke table. Made in the William IV taste featuring spindle legs or bobbin turned legs and ending with ball feet. The plank top measures 42 inches wide with the leaves open and 20 inches wide with the leaves closed or down. The leaves are supported by lopers or hidden hinges that swivel open from underneath. The table measures 22.75 inches from the floor to the apron. The table could also serve as a console or display table. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
