Widdicomb Asian Inspired Midcentury Mahogany Extended Dining Table


Grand mid-century modern mahogany dining table with two extending leaves measuring 24 inches each. Rare table produced by John Widdicomb with its Asian inspired design attributed to T.H Robsjohn Gibbings. The table top measures 88 inches closed and 136 inches wide with the two extending leaves installed. Beautifully crafted with pull out storage drawers and a felt lined storage for fine silverware. The large top features a decorative silvered metal banding around the border of the top. The unique pedestal style legs feature a large ruyi cloud design and an open fretwork border. The thick legs end with square greek key design feet on each corner. The large top has a stepped edge with ample leg room measuring 25 inches from the floor to the apron. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with an aged patina on the finish. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA. Widdicomb label on bottom.
