Timothy Oulton Cigar Leather Steamer Trunk Secretary Desk


Large campaign style reproduction of an antique steamer trunk that opens to a secretaire with a leather fold (29.5" high) down desk. Designed in England by Timothy Oulton for Restoration Hardware. The huge case features a wood frame wrapped with aged cigar leather accented by hundreds of hand-hammered patinated brass tack nail heads. When fully open the case is 76 inches wide, 14.5 inches deep, and 76 inches high. The case is very heavy and solid supported by casters. The leather exterior has oak slats and thick leather handles with brass lock plates and hardware. The leather is intentionally distressed with an aged patina on the finish and has minor scuffs and losses as seen in photos. The interior features multiple drawers, cubbies, bookshelves, and removable bins for files. Interior is fully lined in leather edged canvas.
