Swedish Neoclassical Style Painted Pine Daybed Bench Settee

Grand Swedish painted pine daybed bench or settee made in the neoclassical taste. The pine frame features a gracefully curved back with spindles centered by a Greco-Roman urn form. Each side of the bench has scrolled arms. The piece is decorated with delicate ivy vines along the backrest and apron terminating in the center with a horned skull. The bench has a beautifully distressed patina on the painted finish. The seat is topped with a thick, loose seat cushion upholstered with a stylish silk fabric having a thick, striped design.
