Grand set of twelve painted dining chairs crafted in the neoclassical French Louis XVI taste. The chairs feature an oval shaped or cameo shaped back with a highly carved frame and a floral spray on the crests. The set consists of ten side chairs and two host armchairs measuring 25 inches wide and 24 inches deep. The chairs feature a painted frame with parcel gilt accents throughout. The frames have an intentionally aged, distressed patina on the painted finish to mimic age. The chairs have a vintage upholstery decorated with neoclassical laurel wreaths over a deep ruby red silk style fabric. The vintage fabric has light stains which are difficult to see and an aged patina as seen in photos. The chairs are solid and sturdy with good joinery. Sold as a set of 12 chairs.
