Set of Twelve French Louis XV Style Walnut Dining Chairs

$9,000.00

Grand set of twelve bespoke dining chairs crafted in the French Louis XV taste a' Oreilles or with ears. The finely molded walnut frames have a humped crest on the back and small wings or ears. The set consists of ten side chairs and two large host armchairs measuring 26 inches wide and deep. The seats are upholstered with a dramatic black faux leather naugahyde bordered with patinated brass tack nail heads. The seat aprons have serpentine designs that further accent the gracefully curved frames. Supported by classic cabriole legs. The chairs were custom made by fine Italian artisans in San Francisco mid 20th century for a large historic estate having Albert Daini labels on bottoms. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship seldom seen today. Very good condition given age and use.
