Set of Ten John Hutton for Donghia Silvered Dining Chairs
Extraordinary set of ten silvered or silver leaf dining armchairs designed by John Hutton for Donghia. Known as "Grand Soleil" chairs featuring a handcrafted frame with a fluted or reeded design. Each chair has an oval back with gracefully curved arms measuring 27 inches high. The generous seat is bowed in front and supported by tapered and fluted legs. The frames have a distinctive silver leaf finish and have been upholstered with a dazzling chevron pattern design multicolored fabric. The textured upholstery features hues of citron, charcoal, teal, and blue over a white ground. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship from an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
