Magnificent set of ten 19th-century Dutch baroque dining chairs finely crafted from walnut. The chairs feature large frames embellished with decorative marquetry veneer inlay depicting neoclassical style urns on the splats and floral vine patterns throughout the arms and legs. The set consists of eight side chairs and two host armchairs measuring 22.5 inches wide and 23 inches deep. The shaped arms measure 28.75 inches high and end with a scroll. The sinuous frames have a distinctive profile supported by Queen Anne style cabriole legs and ending with a ball and claw foot. The delicate marquetry is fascinating and intricate with birds decorating the backs. The seats have newly upholstered seat cushions in a linen style fabric. The chairs are solid and strong.
