{"product_id":"set-of-sixteen-baker-georgian-style-mahogany-dining-chairs","title":"Set of Sixteen Baker Georgian Style Mahogany Dining Chairs","description":"\u003cp\u003eAn elegant and stately set of sixteen English Georgian or Chippendale style dining chairs crafted out of mahogany by Baker Furniture. The grand set is comprised of four host armchairs and twelve matching side chairs. The classic English chairs feature tall rectangular backs and broad square seats upholstered in rich crimson velvet fabric. The distinctive upholstery continues around the backs, tops, and aprons of the chairs and is lined by a decorative patinated brass tack nailhead trim. Each opulent chair is raised on tapered mahogany cabriole legs with ornate carved acanthus accents. The four host arm chairs feature Regency style shepherds crook arms decorated with carved acanthus. The legs gracefully swoop down and splay outwards ending in hoof-form feet. The mahogany frames have a warm and lustrous finish, contrasting the sharp crimson upholstery beautifully. The chair frames are sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The dramatic upholstery fabric while being vintage still shows well given age and use with minor stains and small losses that are difficult to see. Crafted in the style of 18th century English Georgian-era seating, the set is well-suited for a variety of classic and modern spaces. Baker manufacturer's label is located on the underside of seats. Measurements listed are of side chairs. Armchairs measure 25\" wide, 28\" deep, 42\" tall, with seats measuring 18\" tall and arms measuring 26\" tall. Sold as a set of sixteen.
