The rattan is joined with criss-crossing split-cane lashings throughout. The chairs are supported by broad straight legs in front and smaller sabered legs in the back, joined underneath by rattan pole stretchers. The vertical pole back creates a refined geometric open fretwork lattice effect continuing around to the front. The matching ottomans feature a low profile and matching rattan pole construction with wicker cane joinery. The rattan throughout the set has a desirable bleached and sun-washed finish from exposure, giving the set a coastal, driftwood-like faded effect. The seat and backs of the chairs, along with the ottomans, are finished with original tan cushions, which are large and comfortably padded. The suite is crafted in a chic blend of tropical Palm Beach, California Coastal, and Organic Modern styles, suitable for use indoors or outdoors in a sunroom, garden, patio, living room, or poolside.
