Set of Six Louis XVI Gustavian Style Dining Chairs


Magnificent set of six bespoke dining chairs designed by Michael S. Smith. Featuring a French Louis XVI style and finished in the Gustavian taste. Generous hand carved frames with round backs and a wide seat having rosettes on the corners. The chairs are supported by tapered, fluted legs. The seats have new foam and a muslin cover with exposed nailheads. The frames have been painted with an aged patina glaze.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship, minor scuffs. Beautifully aged patina finish upholstered in muslin. Set includes 5 chairs with upholstered seats and one with an upholstered back and seat as seen in photos for a total of six chairs.
