Fantastic set of six Japanese Showa period Nihonga school influence painted panels depicting a lovely flora and fauna landscape. Natural ink and color pigments are painted on mulberry paper with applied gold leaf squares. Highly detailed and intricate designs of plum (prunus) blossoms with birds of paradise, irises, and assorted foliage. The panels are separated, framed, and matted. Signed and sealed in characters – can be read Suisen/Zuisen. Signed by artist Japanese artist Carlota T. Ige.
