Set of Six J and J Kohn for Thonet Bentwood Bistro Dining Chairs


Iconic set of six model number #14 Thonet bistro dining chairs manufactured by J and J Kohn in Poland. The most famous and well recognized chair Thonet ever produced crafted from six pieces of steam bent beechwood. The chairs have a classic palm or shell motif seat with most having the original Mundus labels. Over 100 years later this chair is still being made today by Thonet. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.

Dimensions: 16"w x 20"d x 34"h, Seat 19"h

Circa: Late 19th-Early 20th Century, Poland

Materials: Beech, Bentwood

Condition: Distressed, minor wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully aged, distressed patina as seen in photos. Most with labels, two chairs were made without side support pieces.
