Set of Six French Louis XVI Style Painted Dining Chairs

Remarkable set of six french painted dining chairs crafted in the grand neoclassical Louis XVI taste. The set features hand-carved beech frames decorated with faux rope borders on the balloon or cameo backs ending with an acanthus spray finial. The seat has rosettes on the corners and is supported by elegant fluted legs ending with toupie feet. The frames have excellent joinery and craftsmanship with an intentionally aged patina on the painted finish. Beautifully upholstered with a French tapestry style fabric depicting idyllic and serene landscapes in gorgeous muted colors that perfectly accent the painted frames. Viewing the chairs in person is like staring at a fine French painting. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
