Set of Six French Empire Style Diminutive Mahogany Dining Chairs

Distinctive set of six 19th century mahogany dining chairs made on a slightly diminutive scale. The chairs are crafted from mahogany and feature amazing radiant flame veneered seat backs, splats, and apron. The chair frames have a subtle gondola style design with peaked crests. The backs have an inset of flame mahogany on the vasiform shaped splay. The seats are bowed in the front and have a newly upholstered pad in a whimsical French blue and white ticking stripe pattern. The chairs are solid and strong with a classic French empire profile and radiant mahogany embellishments. From an estate in Napa Valley, CA.
