Set of Four 19th Century Swan Wood Block Prints


Extraordinary set of four English 19th century hand-colored wood block prints of swans by Rev. Francis Opren Morris. Published in 1862 by Groombridge and sons, London for "A History of British Birds". Prints are signed on bottom by B. Fawcett who was the finest 19th century wood block printer in England. Each print measures 10 x 6 inches. Featuring a white swan in the water. Beautifully colored and set in silver leaf frames behind glass with a thick white matting. Elegant framed prints sold as a set of four. Each has been photographed out of the frames.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Age appropriate wear and fading. Creases to edges not visible in frames as seen in photos.
