Set of Eight Neoclassical Directoire Style Ebonized Dining Chairs


Extraordinary set of eight ebonized mahogany dining chairs featuring a tub or gondola form frame. Made in the neoclassical directoire French taste. Minimally decorated having a vasiform back splat surmounted by a curved crest rail. Gracefully curved back supports conjoined to a velvet covered seat. The front legs are curved in the manner of a klismos chair for a dramatic profile. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship from an estate in Bel Air, CA.
