Set of Eight English Regency Walnut Caned Dining Chairs

Rare set of eight English regency style dining chairs hand-crafted by Theodore Alexander. The chairs feature solid walnut frames with double cane inset panels on the scrolled back. The frames are accented by bronze stars in a federal style along the backs and on the sides. The generous seats are topped with faux-leather naugahyde seat cushions. The seats are supported by classic saber style legs. The chairs have a dramatic profile with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Very subtle and intentionally distressed patina on the walnut to mimic age. Makers stamp and order tags on bottoms of seats. Very heavy and solid with a rich finish.
