Gorgeous set of eight walnut dining chairs designed by Rose Tarlow, Melrose House Beverly Hills, CA. Known as the "Glenna" chair the set consists of six side chairs and two host armchairs measuring 24 inches wide. The chairs feature an opulent leather seating upholstery having a subtle reptilian skin finish in a warm biscuit tone. The soft leather is bordered by patinated brass tack nail heads. The armchairs have padded arms measuring 27 inches high. The chairs are designed in the Danish modern taste reminiscent of the iconic red chair by Kaare Klint. The profile features a square back and curved seat with straight legs conjoined by H-shaped stretchers. The walnut has a rich tone showcasing the woodgrains. Exquisite chairs in very good, well-preserved condition. Each chair has a Rose Tarlow makers plaque on bottom. Sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Sold as a set of 8.
