Impressive 19th century Russian icon depicting Christ with disciples painted on wood board and covered with silver and bronze oklad. Christ is centered with right hand giving benediction and his monogram IC XC on each side of his nimbus or halo. The oklad is intricately embellished with robes and floral borders in repousse. The back of the wood has a linen lining. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
