The piece is crafted in a unique blend of British Colonial style inspired by aesthetic designs of the Federal and Empire style furnishings of the West Indies. The woven rattan lending a coastal and tropical Riviera style to the design. The bed is part of the Ralph Lauren's \"Villa America\" collection, named for Gerald and Sara Murphy's Riviera villa in Antibes, France. The original Ralph Lauren maker's plaque is located on the headboard. The interior of the bed measures 63\" wide by 83.5\", suitable for a queen-sized mattress.
