Paul Frankl Style Bamboo Rattan Three Tier Bookcase Plant Stand


Gorgeous Mid-Century Modern three tier bookcase or plant Stand attributed to Paul Frankl. The case features a radiant grained mahogany frame veneered with split bamboo rattan and finished on all sides. Amazing attention to detail with an open niche or recess on each side for display. This bookcase could also serve as a bar and represents everything wonderful about rattan furniture with geometric shapes and patterns reminiscent of sculptural Art Deco style furniture. The top shelf has open areas on each side for plants or display that flank the center shelf. The entire piece is mounted on a recessed base with a reeded finish. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. Very heavy and solid versatile piece with a beautiful warm patina.
